X86 Server Hardware SME - Contract Role - Day Rate inside of IR35 to £670

Contract to end of Nov 2024 with long-term extension

Location will be a mix of WFH and travel to Sheffield (ideally 2 days a week)

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a deep technical understanding of x86 Server hardware across Dell/Lenovo/HPE and will have also worked on solutions from customer requirements.

Working alongside our Clients' Product Management teams, you will provide expert guidance and knowledge when defining technical direction of x86 server hardware.

You will also support vendor engagement including service escalation, ongoing relationship management and support the business by understanding available x86 hardware bundles, firmware/microcode release cycle, acting as key technical bridge between business, architecture, and engineering teams as well as vendors.

To be a success in this role, we will need to see experience in the following:

Proficient in x86 Server Hardware and components: Dell, Lenovo and HPE with experience of large, complex enterprise estates

• A deep technical understanding of common remote server management software: iDRAC, XCC and iLO
• Experience in certifying the overlaying Windows, RedHat and ESXi operating system products on x86 server hardware
• In depth experience of dealing with Security and Compliance (within a large financial institution - Preferred)
• Experience of working with agile practices and toolsets including JIRA and Confluence
• Ability to work with globally distributed teams including 3rd party vendors
• Proven experience in Compute, Hypervisors, Storage, Networks
