Kafka Engineer - Contract Opportunity

6 months to end of March 2025 with extension thereafter

Day Rate circa £600-£625 (inside IR25)

Location will be a mix of WFH with 1 day a week also working in London or Sheffield (depending on where candidate lives)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a large FS organisation who is looking for a number of skilled Kafka Engineers who will be responsible for building and deploying Kafka clusters on both on-prem and public cloud Kubernetes environments.

These roles will also involve providing:

• Hands on experience working on Kafka connect using schema registry in a very high volume.
• Administration and operations of the Kafka platform - Working on Kafka connectors such as MQ connectors, Elastic Search connectors, JDBC connectors, File stream connector, JMS source connectors, Tasks, Workers, converters, Transforms.
• Hands on experience on custom connectors using the Kafka core concepts and API.
• Using automation tools like provisioning using Docker, Jenkins, and GitLab.
• Setting up security on Kafka, Monitor, prevent and troubleshoot security-related issues.
